To promote education and training in Vietnam
JBP Consultancy Services Asia Sdn Bhd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE), establishing a strategic partnership to promote education and training in Trenchless Technology in Vietnam.
This collaboration aims to support the development of specialized knowledge in trenchless technologies, an increasingly important field for sustainable infrastructure and underground construction projects worldwide.
Advancing Trenchless Technology Training in Vietnam
Through this agreement, JBP Consultancy Services Asia and HCMUNRE will work together to introduce Trenchless Technology concepts and technical knowledge into university education programs. The initiative is designed to strengthen academic training and provide engineering students with the skills required for modern underground infrastructure development. By integrating trenchless technology into university curricula, the partnership seeks to help prepare the next generation of engineers with practical knowledge relevant to the evolving needs of the infrastructure sector.
Six Months of Collaboration to Develop the Partnership
The agreement follows six months of preparation and cooperation between both organizations. JBP’s Training and Education Director, Frank Reilly, and Southeast Asia Business Development Manager, Kumaravelu Ramasamy, worked closely with representatives from HCMUNRE and PHUKHACO to develop a comprehensive cooperation framework. The partnership will focus on knowledge exchange, academic collaboration, and the promotion of trenchless technologies as an essential engineering discipline for sustainable infrastructure development.
Strengthening Technical Development in Southeast Asia
According to JBP CEO Jan Borje Persson, the agreement represents an important step in strengthening the company’s commitment to education, innovation, and technical development across the region. By supporting academic institutions and engineering education, JBP aims to contribute to the long-term growth of trenchless technology expertise in Southeast Asia.
This collaboration highlights the importance of international partnerships in building a highly skilled and forward-thinking engineering workforce capable of addressing future infrastructure challenges.
